Last night poured over to today

Last night it seemed as if things could get no worse. Our church decided to split the junior high and highschool youth groups. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Now it seems like it would be good for the youth but many of the church members took offense. I just did not know what to do.I love all of the people included in the discussion and refused to take any side except for the side of the youth. When I finally got home my daughter calls to say she is having marital problems and being married less than a year was in need of advice. Advice is not my specialty I talked to her and tried to get her to see that everything would work out and if it did not she could always come back home.
Tonight my beloved salukis went down in the NCAA championships against kansas. It was so close a three point margin. Man the luck and we fell on the wrong side of it this time. On the good side we all set at the table tonight. I made a wonderful but easy dessert and my husband helped with the meatloaf. It all tasted great.
That's it for tonight but I am praying that tommorow will be much better.

Beutiful day

My husband is sitting on the front porch enjoying the beatiful day we are having. It is warm and sunny could not ask for much more. I have opened my windows to let some winter stuffiness and hopefully some germs outside. My daughter and my sister took a walk to the local sandwich shop. There is a store here that sells a lunch meat sandwich for .50 cents. What a bargain, sandwich, chips, snack cake and soda for under $3.00. I am taking three of the kids to get their hair cuts today. I will post after I take pictures of them. Well that is it for now.

Monday workday

After my daughter visiting on Saturday and then taking the youth trip on Sunday, Monday meant alot of work was on the way. Laundry, how does it pile up so fast? I washed atleast 8 so far and as soon as they come out of the dry they are put away where they belong. The dishes had accumalted after the kids snacked when they got home and had to be washed today. The work is primarily done, Lasagna and garlic bread on the menu tonight and almost prepared. I have no idea what dessert is yet but I am trying my best to cheat and have fruit or something rather than having to make a dessert. Oh, I almost forgot someone turned down the fridge thermostat and the milk went bad, cans of biscuts popped open and there was a mess in my kitchen.

wonderful weekend

My daughter visited us this weekend. She does not come very often because her husband is a youth minister and she is a day care provider. THeir carreers keep them in place alot. It was a wonderful visit. Yesterday after church our 3 teenagers at home visited the Garden of the Gods in Southern Illinois. It is a beautiful place. There were lots of hikers there as well. Here is a picture of what we saw.

quiet tonight

My children are not at home tonight and it feels very lonely. My sister in law had them all to come over there. My oldest daughter will come down tommorow for a visit. I can not wait. She plans on staying the night

Tonight for supper we had sweet and sour chicken. I did not fix a whole meal since no one but 4 of us would be here.

Tommorow is my sunday school party. The kids will eat rootbeer cake, doritos, and pizza bites. That is what we would of had tonight if the kids had been here. Every friday night is kid night.

Please pray for my nephew peyton who fell out of a glass window tonight. Thank God that he only needed some glue (past time would have been stitches).

slow morning

I woke up this morning unable to talk. My voice was not over a tiny squeak. But now about 3 hours later my voice is slowly starting to catch up. My husband pitched in and helped with the kids as well as fixing breakfast. I guess after 20 years he is worth keeping. Just kidding I really do love the guy.
